The Magic Of the Holidays in Brookfield

A Preschool aged girl, who attends Brookfield, Children's Edu-Care, woke her Mom at 4:00Am excitedly saying, "Mom!  This is going to be the best day of my whole life!"
The chill in the night air could do nothing to waiver the warm smiles of the children as they listened to Mayor Ponto give a few words and then the big count down, "5,4,3,2,1" AND no lights!  Oh no! Mayor gave a few more words and then the glow everyone waited for!
We were entertained by the Brookfield Dance Academy and our Brookfield children sang songs  including Twinkle, twinkle little lights, Rudolph and We wish you a Merry Christmas.
The celebration ended with cookies served in the festive rooms decorated for the occasion and a visit from Santa!
It was an evening to remember.

A Time To Give Thanks

A teacher asks her preschool group, "What are you thankful for?"  A 3 year old boy in the front shouts out, "I am thankful for our microwave!"  "My Mom is the best cook ever!"
Another  3 year old boy adds, "I am thankful for my family!"  "Even my dog, Fred, even though he chewed up my Dad's work shoes and got in big trouble!"
During this holiday season, we all reflect on what we are thankful for and count our blessings.
Mary Linsmeier Schools are thankful for our wonderful staff, the relationships we have built with all of our parents and the smiles we receive every day from the children we serve.
Happy Thanksgiving!
